You will be responsible for scheduling coordinating care updating medical records and ensuring seamless communication between Veterans providers and community partners. WORKSITE: Sheridan VAMC 1898 Fort Road Sheridan WY 82801
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday Friday 7:00 am 6:00 pm (8-hour shifts excluding federal holidays)
PAY RATE: $ 16.50 -$ 17.00 per hour
CONTRACT LENGTH: 12 months

WHAT YOULL DO
Support the Lead Scheduler and the reception team in scheduling and patient communications
Coordinate and authorize Veteran care with community providers when needed
Validate and update patient demographics
Process records into CPRS and VISTA systems
Manage consults via HSRM PPMS and other VA systems
Answer and route phone calls professionally within 5 rings
Perform appointment scheduling tracking and pre-/post-appointment follow-ups
Provide high-quality customer service to Veterans families and VA staff
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook Teams) daily
Adhere to HIPAA VA policies and confidentiality standards
Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOULL BRING
U.S. residency required
High School diploma or GED
Oral and written English proficiency
Ability to type at least 50 WPM
Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
Minimum of 6 months customer service experience
No health or physical restrictions that interfere with duties
