  • Senior Regional Biodiversity Conservation Officer (Environment Officer Class 9)
  • Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
  • Greater Sydney location preferred - Office location is Parramatta
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $124322 to $138494 super

Our Regional Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Regional Biodiversity Conservation Officer to join our Conservation Programs and Heritage Regulation group.

The role provides technical advice and contributes to the delivery of biodiversity conservation programs projects and enforcement actions across regional NSW.

About You

As a Senior Regional Biodiversity Conservation Officer you will:

  • Provide technical advice on a wide range of threatened species and biodiversity conservation issues
  • Provide technical advice and support to the Department of Planning Housing and Infrastructure on Major Project matters
  • Provide technical biodiversity advice and support to Councils on strategic planning matters
  • Provide expert advice and review (as an accredited assessor where required) matters pertaining to the Biodiversity Assessment Methodology.

Essential requirements

  • Current drivers licence

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.

We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
