Job Specific Duties

  • Ensure all food is produced in high quality timely and consistent manner to meet all menu and customer standard
  • Ability to develop rapport with the customer while upholding the values and mission of Thomas Cuisine
  • Set up and stocked sandwich/sliced station with all necessary supplies
  • Handles stores and rotates all products in the station or walk-in cooler properly
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Follows proper techniques and proper presentation of all dishes
  • Practices correct food handling and food storage procedures according to company and state regulations
  • Maintains positive respectful professional approach communication and workplace conduct with customers and team
  • Reports all unsafe working conditions operational needs and equipment or aspects of the kitchen in of repair to management

What you will need

  • 18 years or older pending specific state requirements.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
  • Background check that includes SSN Trace Sex Offender Search Global Watchlist Search National Search and Motor Vehicle Record
  • ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card state specific
  • Ability to read speak write and comprehend English
  • The ability to work holiday and weekend shift schedules.
  • Sign a pre-employment affidavit

Physical and Sensory Requirements

Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Lifting boxes up to 25 pounds. Pushing/Pulling Food Hot Boxes up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping for access to carts food trays and other kitchen equipment. Manual dexterity for the use of kitchen utensils and tools. Visual acuity for reading menus labels and directions. Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Taste and Smell to assess food quality freshness and adherence to dietary requirements. Ability to distinguish colors for food presentation.
