Job Description

Reporting to the CEO and leading a small but mighty team you will drive our revenue strategy and optimize the full marketing funnel to achieve our customer acquisition and lifetime value goals. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing media Field Marketing and conversion efforts targeting families across 75100 parent-pay camp locations through an annual launch and promotion plan

  • Driving acquisition through full-funnel strategies including traditional performance marketing zero-click content social engagement audience-building and owned channels

  • Building brand distinctiveness and salience in our target markets through content engagement and community presence

  • Deploying customer and market intelligence to inform new-site acquisition growth planning and local tactics

  • Owning website content and performance (lead gen and enrollment) across B2C (parent-pay) and B2B (district-sponsored) business lines

  • Managing all critical customer communications including engagement program logistics and renewal

  • Supporting the growth of Galileo X our emerging B2B (school and district) business line offering full-service summer enrichment and curriculum licensing

Success in this role will require a deep understanding of integrated marketing strategy funnel optimization and brand-building. You must be data-driven customer-oriented entrepreneurial and skilled at balancing national regional and hyper-local approaches. Youll thrive if you combine creativity with analytical rigor can operate at both strategic and executional levels and are energized by cross-functional collaboration.

You will be Accountable for:

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Create own and continuously improve a holistic marketing plan that aligns with organizational growth targets.

  • Lead a Marketing team (34) a Revenue/Enrollment team (23 plus seasonal staff) and manage a network of external agencies (paid media web MarTech)

  • Define and manage a unified set of KPIs that integrates strategy and performance across channels adjusting as needed.

  • Contribute to overall organizational leadership as a member of the executive team influencing strategy culture and staff development.

Acquisition & Conversion

  • Drive family acquisition with efficient high-ROI campaigns across paid owned and earned channels.

  • Build campaigns that balance scale and personalization across diverse customer groups.

  • Optimize the customer journey from awareness to purchase to reduce friction and abandonment while increasing enrollment conversion and purchase size.

Brand & Content

  • Build brand distinctiveness and salience with content and engagement strategies tailored to parents and communities.

  • Oversee development of creative content to support Marketing and Communications priorities.

  • Guide our Local Engagement team in field marketing and community activation to maximize local presence and partnerships.

Customer Communications & Revenue

  • Oversee the Revenue/Enrollment team including partnership channels such as Bright Horizons backup care.

  • Manage all customer communications from engagement to logistics to renewals ensuring clarity consistency and delight.

  • Support Galileo Xs growth into district-sponsored and licensed enrichment partnerships.

Compensation:

We anticipate compensation for this Full-Time exempt position to be $175000-$200000 base with additional variable compensation target up to 25%. Exact compensation may vary and will be based on multiple factors including geography and professional experience. 

Our pay practices are guided by a commitment to equity and informed by market benchmarking and internal audits to minimize bias and ensure fairness across all roles.

Work location:

Remote work-from-home location is possible in the following states: California Colorado Illinois Massachusetts Texas North Carolina New York or Washington. We are currently only able to employ candidates who are based in the states listed here.

Employees located in the San Francisco Bay area adhere to a hybrid office and work-from-home policy. Galileo Headquarters is located at 111 Myrtle St Ste 300 Oakland CA 94607.

Schedule & Time Commitment:
This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. While we prioritize work-life balance there may be times when additional hours are necessary to meet deadlines and ensure the success of our programs. Additionally HQ staff are expected to visit camp locations from June through August to experience camp first-hand and support our teams on the ground; 10-15% travel may be required for those located outside of a camp territory.


Qualifications :

  • 10 years of progressive leadership in B2C marketing roles

  • At least 3 years at the Senior Director level or higher with experience managing both teams and external agencies

  • Proven track record of leading full-funnel marketing in a dynamic high-growth environment

  • Expertise in acquisition conversion optimization and customer journey management

  • Strong analytical background with experience building and using KPIs to drive decision-making

  • Demonstrated success in brand-building content strategy and community engagement

  • Familiarity and experience with multi-site and highly seasonal marketing tactics a plus

  • Experience marketing education travel or other family and kid-related services a plus

Additional Information :
