You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Individual Giving Manager supports the Major Gifts Program with a focus on cultivating stewarding and growing gifts in the $1500-$5000 range. This role manages a portfolio of donors builds meaningful relationships and develops strategies to increase engagement and giving. Youll play a key role in advancing SAMs fundraising goals by:
Managing a portfolio of current and prospective donors with emphasis on increasing annual support at the $1500$5000 level.
Identifying donors with potential for increased giving and developing tailored cultivation strategies.
Writing effective personalized solicitations for annual gifts.
Collaborating with colleagues on gift acknowledgements stewardship benefits fulfillment and donor recognition.
Maintaining donor records in Tessitura including research biographies and meeting notes.
Planning and implementing donor stewardship events in partnership with the events team.
Supporting development events peer-to-peer solicitations and production of donor materials.
Managing budget responsibilities related to individual giving and stewardship initiatives.
FLSA STATUS: Full Time Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION: $33.00-35.00/hour
This role is typically scheduled during standard business hours MondayFriday with occasional evenings and weekends required to support donor events and solicitations. This position is hybrid eligible under SAMs current policy (subject to change).

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in liberal arts marketing arts business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 4 years of development experience.
Knowledge of a broad range of fundraising techniques and how they support each other.
Proven success in cultivating soliciting and stewarding gifts.
Strong relationship-building skills with donors trustees executives and colleagues.
Strategic proactive and professional communication skills (verbal and written).
Supervisory and project management skills with ability to motivate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong time management problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of fundraising database systems; ability to learn Tessitura.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Zoom Asana Slack and online research.
Ability to pass and maintain a security background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the nonprofit sector ideally arts & culture.
Familiarity with the Seattle philanthropic community.
Proficiency with Tessitura.
Exposure: Primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment with moderate background noise.
Stationary Work: About 80% at a desk; 20% moving around the work area. Occasional extended standing may be required during events.
Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication in English with donors trustees and colleagues is essential.
Office Work: Regular use of computers phones and office equipment.
