Job Title: DevOps / CI/CD Engineer Build & Automation (GitLab Jenkins Artifactory)
Location: Salt Lake City Utah - Flex
Role Overview: Everfox is seeking a full-time engineer to support the Engineering organization as part of the Product Build & Automation (PBA) team. This team collaborates closely with Software Engineers acting as a key resource for automation and product build processes. Strong virtual communication skills are essential as we collaborate heavily via video calls and value being engaged and present during discussions. Your work will directly influence developer velocity and product delivery speed across the company. As a small highly skilled team youll have significant autonomy and the ability to introduce new technologies and practices.
All of the PBA team is based in Salt Lake City Utah. This position is classified as Flex meaning it is primarily remote with the potential for partial in-office work if local and if company policies move in that direction. However in-office attendance is not currently .
The first few months will focus on learning our processes and workflows with strong support from the rest of the PBA team who share guidance and experience daily.Most work is self-directed but collaboration and communication are strongly encouraged. Everfox fosters a strong culture of work-life balance. Death marches pager duty and working nights and weekends are not part of PBAs culture. While there may be an occasional need for after-hours work it is not typical.
Responsibilities:
Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple products using GitLab Jenkins Artifactory and Vault.
Automate build test and deployment processes to improve developer productivity.
Support and scale infrastructure automation (Terraform Ansible Packer Docker vSphere).
Be a first responder for build-related outages and drive root cause analysis.
The ideal PBA team member will have:
A strong technical background and the ability to proactively identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and address problem areas.
Your soft skills and willingness to learn are your most important assets. This manifests as a positive attitude the humility to admit when you dont know something and the willingness to tackle complex problems with a calm systematic approach.
Understanding configuration management and the advantages of using dedicated tools over scripting for server setup is essential.
Experience with tools such as Git Docker GitLab Jenkins Artifactory vSphere Python Ansible Terraform and Packer is a plus. However a strong understanding of when and why to use these tools is even more critical.
A strong understanding of containerization and its benefits for both an engineers workflow and a system administrator managing applications is essential.
Education Previous Work Experience:
Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance (current clearance not ).
BS Computer Science Computer Engineering or Information Security OR equivalent experience.
2 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer SRE DevOps Engineer IT Engineer or Software Engineer (or equivalent hands-on experience).
Technical Skills:
: Git CI/CD experience containerization scripting/programming skills.
Nice-to-Have: Terraform Ansible Packer Vault vSphere AWS Kubernetes Monitoring/Observability Tools (Prometheus Grafana etc.).

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
