Full time - Paris or London hybrid or Remote from Western EU
Kiln is now part of the prestigious French Government program #FT120 from La French Tech!
As a Backend Engineer at Kiln you will join our Software Team composed of 14 engineers (Backend Frontend QA) split into squads to build the future of our SaaS/API-first products You will report to our Head of Software and collaborate with the Product Infrastructure and Smart-Contract teams to work on the various products that Kilns offers.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
Develop and implement software features in our Golang services (data aggregators APIs Blockchain Transaction crafting ...).
Take part in automation testing and CI/CD processes.
Participate in code review bug fixing code maintenance.
Ensure that our services communicate with each other seamlessly have minimal downtime and recover quickly.
Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company).
Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kilns platform and engineering practices.
Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges.

Infrastructure: GCP AWS Kubernetes
100 Go services processing data for 15 blockchains
200Gb of raw data processed every day
2Tb of staking data available through our Kiln Connect API
Requirements:
3 years of experience as Software Engineer (Backend) designing building and deploying user-facing infrastructure-related and/or API-based products.
1 year of Golang programming professional experience in a production environment.
Familiar with container/orchestrator technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) and Continuous Integration.
Curiosity and the ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
Be pragmatic to not over-engineer unnecessarily.
Own what is coded and shipped to production.
Proven interest in Web3 blockchain cryptocurrency - check our Tech Blog and Open-Source Contribution
Fluent in both French and English.
Nice-to-have:
Solid understanding of protocols staking and DeFi.
Previous experience working within a certified environment (SOC2 ISO 27001 PCI DSS HIPAA...)
Living close to Paris or London
