Position Overview:

The Retirement Plan Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our retirement plan administration ensuring accuracy compliance and excellent service to plan participants and HR professionals. This is a highly visible and trusted position requiring subject matter expertise precision and empathy.

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have prior experience working with retirement plans and be familiar with industry terminology and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retirement Plan Processing:

    • Accurately process retirement plan distributions (e.g. lump sum payments installment options and 401(k) loan activity).

    • High-volume data entry with zero tolerance for errors. Accuracy is essential.

  • Error Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Generate and analyze reports to identify discrepancies or processing errors.

    • Follow up on flagged items ensuring swift and accurate resolution.

  • Customer & Client Support:

    • Respond to inquiries from retirement plan participants HR professionals and beneficiaries.

    • Provide clear explanations with empathy especially when discussing sensitive financial matters.
