Description:
As a successful IT Hardware Administrator your performance objectives include a strong desire and capability to learn grow and develop new skills. Empower a culture of safety security and compliance in all aspect of automation and laboratory activities. Establish and enhance strong working relationships with internal engineering and operational teams as well as external vendors. Perform cable installations hardware rack / stack installations component replacement hardware testing and validation security protocol implementation and adherence media management and troubleshooting using standard processes. Integrate/translate network and hardware engineering validation and test objectives into operational IT environments. Physically assist in moving and racking equipment. Assist data center Inventory and Asset Management team with shipping/receiving and inventory management to support high work volumes.
Key qualifications:
Possess detailed knowledge of device and enterprise level hardware firmware and application demands at the component level and hardware/OS security policies
Experience supporting and managing network infrastructure and hardware; hands on expertise with critical networks deployed to meet data center demand
Experience installing servicing and troubleshooting systems and networks
Assess and triage work requests providing planning detail and assisting in the prioritization and coordination of service delivery
Able to Investigate analyze and resolve complex hardware troubles/failures to include firmware application and hardware integration
Collaborate on systems testing and evaluation ensuring security requirements and solutions are suitable for the architecture and data center environments
Collaborate on root case analysis; providing hands on support to resolve and mitigate failures
Experience operating macOS Windows Linux
Experience managing all types of media
Ability to interact with engineering teams operational teams leadership and vendors
Experience processing parts maintain and update inventory
Ability to support frequent standing walking lifting and working at heights
Responsible for ensuring government regulatory compliance OSHA EHS and other similar programs with direction from their management team.
Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment up to 50 lbs (pallet jacks chassis lifts etc.)
Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills
Experience
Looking for a minimum of 5 years of experience
BA/BS degree is preferred
