Selections Coordinator About the Job:
The Selections Coordinator is responsible for guiding clients through the design and selections process for their new home or remodeling project. This role ensures all product and finish choices are accurately documented approved and entered into the project management system supporting both the client experience and internal project workflows. The Selections Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between clients the design team trade partners and project managers to ensure selections are completed on time on budget and in alignment with project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the selections process providing guidance expertise and support.
- Schedule and lead selection meetings ensuring clients feel confident in their choices.
- Communicate selection deadlines and track progress to avoid project delays.
Selections & Documentation
- Assist clients in choosing finishes fixtures appliances flooring paint lighting and other design elements.
- Ensure all selections are entered into the project management system with detailed descriptions pricing images and vendor information.
- Review and confirm selections with clients ensuring signed approvals are secured in the system.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to confirm availability lead times and pricing.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with Project Managers Site Supervisors and Design Managers to ensure selections align with project specifications and budgets.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to the operations team regarding finalized selections.
- Support trade partners with selection details to ensure correct installation.
System Expertise
- Manage all aspects of the selections module in the project management system including setup client portal updates and reporting.
- Train clients as needed on how to access and approve selections in the system.
- Use the system to generate selection reports budgets and status updates for leadership and project teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required: Previous experience in residential construction homebuilding or interior design.
- Required: Proficiency in project management software specifically selections and client communication modules.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials finishes and design trends.
- Excellent communication organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and client experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in design coordination client relations or project management.
- Experience working with subcontractors suppliers and vendors.
- Familiarity with budgeting allowances and cost tracking in project management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve client concerns proactively.
