Job Summary
TO: All Personnel Brockton Public SchoolsFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Access Control SpecialistThe access control specialist will work under the direction of the Principal of Brockton High School. They will be charged with maintaining the general decorum of Brockton High Schools lobby and visitor relations. Duties include but are not limited to: monitor and control access of visitors in and out of restricted areas by ensuring positive identification the wearing of a visitors pass while in the building not allowing visitors to roam the building freely ensure prohibited and restricted items are not brought into the building assist employees and visitors with directions to various locations and provide other customer service DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain a presentable and professional lobby at all timesDisplay exceptional customer service and communication skills Greet all visitors to ascertain their businessCreate and issue visitor badgesMaintain visitor access and log Lobby GuardCommunicate with staff via phone and radio regarding visitors Ensure visitors are escorted by designated staff and are signed out of the buildingAccept packages delivered or dropped at subsequent final destinationAlert authorities to possible problems or threats to building students or staffTimely report of any issues with equipment and maintain inventory Any other duties assigned by the Division Commanding officer or his/her designee Compensation: $22.75 per hour Schedule: fifty-two (52) weeks less vacation and other paid time off 8 hour shift (11:00am-7:00pm)
