Job Description

Responsible to: Senior Fundraising Manager
Contract: Permanent full-time
Location: Standlake (near Witney Oxfordshire) hybrid working at managers discretion.
Salary:

Normal Working hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility will be required to attend fundraising events)


About the role

As our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager youll help secure the vital funding that transforms the lives of vulnerable children families and communities. Youll play a big part in shaping our future crafting compelling funding proposals building lasting relationships with grant makers and ensuring supporters feel truly valued.

Well look to you to:

  • Achieve annual income targets through one-off and multi-year grants.
  • Research identify and cultivate new funding opportunities keeping a healthy pipeline in Raisers Edge NXT.
  • Write persuasive tailored cases for support and grant applications.
  • Produce timely inspiring reports that show impact and encourage repeat funding.
  • Deliver exceptional stewardship through communications meetings visits and events.
  • Work with colleagues across the organisation to gather information and build strong proposals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on case studies donor recognition and campaign materials.
  • Stay on top of best practice and trends in trust fundraising.
  • Ensure all activity is compliant with fundraising standards and GDPR.

About you

Heres what youll bring

  • At least 2 years experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
  • A strong track record of meeting income targets and securing new grants.
  • Excellent bid writing prospect research and grant management skills.
  • Experience of both restricted and unrestricted funding applications.
  • Warm persuasive communication written and verbal.
  • Strong relationship management and stewardship skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise in a busy team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (e.g. Raisers Edge NXT) desirable.
  • Knowledge of fundraising governance GDPR and best practice.


Bonus points for:

  • Experience of securing significant multi-year grants.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • An interest in the wider charity sector.

The Mulberry Bush is a therapeutic community registered as a childrens home and a non-maintained residential special school. We also provide therapeutic outreach services to schools and other community-based organisations along with research and consultancy services. Since 1948 weve been helping to transform the lives of children who have experienced trauma with specialist therapeutic services and fulfilling activities.
