Position Summary
The Accounting Systems Integration Director will play a key role in onboarding new acquisitions (and decentralized prior acquisitions) into corporate accounting systems tools and processes in a highly acquisitive environment.
Reporting to the VP Controller- Acquisitions & Integrations this role is responsible for coordinating the accounting-side readiness and enablement for systems such as Workday (General Ledger (GL) and Vendor Payables) FloQast (close management) and supporting feeds into production management or subsidiary operational systems.
This Director is responsible for managing a high-performing team of professionals (including Integration Managers Analysts and Specialists) and ensuring the team drives accurate timely and compliant accounting system integrations. The role serves as the primary accounting liaison for system-related integration efforts partnering closely with the rest of the Acquisitions & Integrations (A&I) Accounting team Finance Systems & Automation team Shared Services and cross-functional integration Director s.
Key Responsibilities
Directorship & People Management
Build develop and lead a team of integration professionals providing clear direction coaching and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement within the integration function.
Allocate resources across multiple concurrent integration projects to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
Accounting Enablement & Business Onboarding
Lead the accounting-side onboarding of new acquisitions into core Accounting systems including (but not limited to) Workday Visual Lease and FloQast in alignment with corporate standards and SOX compliance.
Participate in workflow development and testing scenarios for new production management system feeds and subsidiary ledger integrations into Workday.
Act as the primary liaison between Accounting Integration Corporate Accounting System Admin and the Finance Systems & Automation teams to ensure accounting requirements are captured and executed.
Support chart of accounts mapping financial entity setup reconciliation readiness and data quality during onboarding.
Coordinate FloQast user setup task assignments and entity activation as part of close cycle enablement.
Cross-Functional Project Director ship
Partner with Finance Systems & Automation team to validate configuration outcomes against accounting needs.
Manage system onboarding milestones system readiness checkpoints and issue resolution across acquired entities.
Work closely with the Shared Services Center FP&A Corporate Accounting and Business Director s to ensure a smooth transition into ongoing processes.
Post-Integration Stabilization
Monitor first close cycles in new systems for accuracy timeliness and compliance.
Work with Shared Services and A&I Accounting team to remediate issues address control gaps and refine processes.
Drive automation and efficiency improvements across integration steps to shorten onboarding timelines for future deals.
Process & Governance
Maintain and enhance repeatable onboarding playbooks including roles dependencies and systems checklists.
Identify and escalate risks related to accounting data integrity timeline delays or system misalignment.
Participate in post-onboarding reviews to drive continuous improvement and feedback into integration and systems processes.
Qualifications/Required:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Accounting Finance or related field.
10 years of experience in accounting operations financial systems enablement or post-acquisition integration.
Strong working knowledge of accounting processes close cycles vendor payables and GL/reporting structures.
Experience working with or alongside ERP systems (preferably Workday) reconciliation tools (FloQast Blackline) and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects across decentralized teams without direct authority.
Proven ability to lead system onboarding across multiple acquisitions simultaneously.
Strong project management skills with the ability to drive results across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Preferred:
Experience in a high-acquisition environment or complex multi-entity business (e.g. fintech insurance or PE-backed).
Familiarity with production or operational systems feeding accounting data (e.g. agency or order systems).
Understanding of Workday financial modules even without direct configuration responsibilities.
