St. Marys High School is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to St. Marys High Schools Main Office and ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience in front desk operations.
Essential Functions
- Maintains good order among students and visitors in the main office.
- Answers telephone and directs calls and messages to the proper recipient.
- Assists students and teachers with proper information.
- Place phone on auto-answer mode only when absolutely necessary.
- Operates and maintains standard office machines and equipment such as FAX scantron duplicating equipment postage machine etc.
- Sorts and distributes incoming mail in a timely manner.
- Prepares student packets for distribution during orientation and other important events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
- Some college experience is a plus.
- 1-2 years experience in an administrative support role.
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook and Google Docs.
- Knowledge of principles and practice of office management.
- Commitment to exemplary customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to participate in ongoing training.
- Teamwork with an emphasis on flexibility and adaptability.
- Effective problem-solving prioritization and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to deal with the ambiguity of handling new questions or problems that occur throughout the day.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
- Willingness to research previous solutions as a resource in solving current issues.
Pay range: $20 - $22 Hourly
