Confluence Water a Downer Ventia and Jacobs Joint Venture is one of three regional consortia delivering design construction maintenance and facilities management services for Sydney Water. As the North Delivery team we stretch from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River including the Hills Shire. Confluence Water is Sydney Waters partner responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works as part of a 10-year program.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Business Partner we have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor on a permanent full-time basis. This role partners with the business and acts as a subject matter expert to support the success of the operational contract and includes site-based field work. The ultimate goal is for operations to own safety and for the Health & Safety cohort to play the role of subject matter experts and mentors to facilitate health and safety success.
Enabling the conditions for our teams to thrive whilst performing work successfully without harm to people or the communities and environments in which we work is paramount. As such this is a critical role where coaching and influencing of operational staff at all levels is an essential skillset to supporting the implementation embedding knowledge and operational application of The Downer Standard. Although this is a team-based position the ability to work autonomously is an essential attribute. The successful candidate will be self-motivated passionate about safety and constructive when engaging teams to discuss and promote opportunities for improvement.
