You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe County of Riversides Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Administrative Services Division is seeking a qualified Business Process Analyst I to join the Office of Systems Design and Support (OSDS) in Riverside.
This position will focus primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI Power Apps and Power Automate. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing digital tools and process improvements using the Power Platform. This includes working with departmental staff to identify needs streamline workflows improve data visibility and facilitate training and demonstrations on Power Platform solutions.
In addition the incumbent will assist in maintaining department-wide SharePoint sites provide user support and ensure site functionality aligns with operational goals. The role also includes contributing to the departments Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption efforts and collaborating with the Office of Service Integration (OSI) to support the Countys Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) initiative.
This position may require travel to various offsite locations throughout Riverside County. The most competitive candidates will have experience using the Microsoft Power Platform for business process improvement and providing support for SharePoint environments.
A hybrid telework schedule may be available based on business needs; however in-person attendance may be required and is subject to change.

TAP Benefits: Serve as business process resource on all matters involving the support maintenance enhancement and upgrade of the Countys integrated enterprise systems; provide functional support analysis and design specifications as needed to programming staff.
Troubleshoot provide production support identify problem areas and correct system set-up when production errors are identified; work directly with vendors for resolution of underlying system program problems; search corporate web sites for posted resolutions and fixes that could resolve identified problems; coordinate workload to prioritize all jobs.
Coordinate and participate in the design and evaluation of business processes required for the implementation of enterprise systems modules and upgrades; review effect of new components to determine if previously modified processes can be eliminated and/or if new release will also require modification; participate in system testing to ensure that the new release provides the expected results throughout the business cycle.
Review and evaluate existing County business process models to identify potential areas for automation and streamlining; develop recommendations for new or modified processes; test all changes prior to final implementation to ensure appropriate results.
Coordinate with user departments on new/changed local ordinances and labor agreements legislation reporting and regulations; review analyze and test all changes prior to final implementation to ensure appropriate results.
Design implement and maintain system set-up tables and parameters to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements; interpret and analyze new or updated regulations to identify needed system changes.
Coordinate and implement system security; approve departmental requests for access to enterprise system; coordinate network security and installation requirements with the Information Technology Department.
May maintain context-sensitive on-line help reference to reflect the most current structure within the system.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree incomputer science ordata science.
Experience:
OPTION I
Two years as a Business Process Specialist with the County of Riverside.
OPTION II
Three years of progressively responsible work which would demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities listed below.
Knowledge of: Principles and practices of financial human resources and/or other enterprise functions; project specifications development; application design; application of industry/corporate standards and conventions for systems analysis and quality assurance; installation testing and migration process and techniques; quality and version control processes; use of packaged/off-the-shelf and 3rd party application software including office automation tools.
Ability to: Write/modify technical and user documentation; prepare flow process diagrams and other design graphics; use basic principles and practices and functional activities for the maintenance and enhancement of enterprise systems components; gather and analyze data; reason logically draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations; speak and write effectively; read interpret and apply laws rules regulations standards and procedures; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and gain their cooperation.
