What this job involves:
As a Service Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of data centre services to clients maintaining high standards of operational excellence and driving continuous improvement in service performance. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients overseeing service level agreements (SLAs) managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with industry standards and JLLs best practices.
Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data centre services ensuring adherence to SLAs KPIs and contractual obligations.
Monitor and report on service performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure operational processes align with industry standards (e.g. Uptime Institute ISO 27001 ITIL) and JLLs policies.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary liaison between clients internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues and escalate critical matters.
Conduct regular client meetings to review performance address concerns and align on strategic objectives.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage relationships with suppliers contractors and technology partners to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
Oversee contract compliance including scope deliverables and financial terms.
Risk & Compliance
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery security and business continuity.
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations in data centre operations.
Continuous Improvement
Drive initiatives to optimize service delivery reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to meet evolving client and industry demands.
Bachelors degree in engineering IT Business Management or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in data centre operations IT service management or facilities management. Proven track record in managing SLAs vendor relationships and client-facing roles.
Familiarity with data centre infrastructure (power cooling networking) and ITIL frameworks.
ITIL PMP CDCP or similar certifications are a plus.
Strong leadership problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
Proficiency in data centre management tools and reporting software.
