Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all inventory processes for our 503A pharmacy. You will be a key player in our operations directly contributing to cost savings regulatory compliance and our overall business growth. This role is perfect for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can help us build a scalable and highly organized inventory system from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize inventory levels and records to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Execute regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain stock integrity.
- Collaborate on the receiving process by accurately verifying incoming shipments and inspecting for quality and damage.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends opportunities for improvement and areas for cost savings.
- Ensure all inventory management practices comply with regulatory requirements including GMP and FDA regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of materials for production.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in a dedicated inventory control role.
- Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems such as Net Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data identify trends and pinpoint opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field such as supply chain management or logistics.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
- Certification in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite or Google Workspace with a focus on using spreadsheet tools (like Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk and lift packages up to 35 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members suppliers and other departments.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as counting scanning and typing.
- Ability to work in a typical warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.
