Conveyortek Ltd established in 2009 and based in Crumlin is an ISO 9001 accredited engineering company specialising in conveyor systems and metal separation equipment. The business provides a full range of bulk and unit handling solutions from modular conveyors for rapid installation to fully bespoke systems designed around client operations. Its metal separation products support recycling quarrying and aggregate processing with equipment supplied to around 15 countries worldwide.

As a direct response to recent growth we have been retained by Conveyortek to recruit a Tactical Buyer who will join their established procurement team.

Recognised locally and internationally for technical expertise operational reliability and practical client-focused solutions this role offers a Buyer Scheduler or similar purchasing professional the chance to join a passionate collaborative team where responsibility is real and the impact of your work is visible across the business.

In this newly created high-impact role you will report to the Procurement Manager but work cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure materials are delivered on time in full at the right quality and cost. The role provides visible operational influence where contribution directly affects efficiency delivery and project outcomes. Key responsibilities

  • Securing supply of raw materials components MRO and subcontract services in line with budgets and project schedules
  • Monitoring and managing inventory to maintain accuracy and minimise excess or obsolete stock
  • Negotiating with suppliers on cost lead times and delivery performance
  • Collaborating with Sales Design and Stores to align procurement with operational requirements
  • Tracking and reporting on purchase orders production progress and supply chain performance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and scheduling
  • Undertaking any other duties as required by the department or business

Criteria

  • In order to be considered for this role you should have proven experience in a similar Buyer Scheduler or purchasing role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of supply chain management scheduling and inventory control is expected
  • Competence with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (including Excel)
  • Proactive detail-focused with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Supplier relationship management: ability to manage supplier relationships
  • Stakeholder communication: ability to communicate effectively to a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Organisation: strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
  • Negotiation: commercially aware with good negotiation skills
  • Analysis and Reporting: ability to interpret data to solve problems
