What is the Opportunity

The Province of British Columbia has chosen South Fraser Station Partners to work on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain project. The SFSP scope of work includes the construction of eight stations a 250m Guideway three standalone Power Propulsion Substations and three bus exchanges. The Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project will improve regional connections and provide fast frequent and reliable transit service for people and businesses across Metro Vancouver especially south of the Fraser River. The general partnership is made up of Aecon Pomerleau and Acciona.

What Youll Do Here:

  • Accountable for project procurement plan and on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for the procurement process in SAP.
  • Negotiating low-value contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Adherence to Aecons preferred supplier sourcing footprint.
  • Accountable for driving towards zero exceptions in the procure to pay process.
  • Real time solution of price delivery account assignment material and service-related exceptions.
  • Actively participates and aids in the development of vendor improvement plans.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Advanced communication skills demonstrated through previous experience in the following contexts: multi-disciplinary project & program meetings technical reviews with solution provider / vendor / supplier and subject matter experts.
  • Experience in program management would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to interpret process flow charts to understand what data is captured and how it travels between various applications.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with professionals within industry and internal clients.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Solid research skills and commitment to continually learn about new products / technologies / processes.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office (Excel Outlook Word PowerPoint)

Salary range - $65000 - $75000 per annum
