Pay rtae $60 to 65/hr
Mainframe Systems Programmer
Location: Onsite in Portland OR
Duration: 24 Month Contract
Position Overview:
Responsible for supporting a mainframe critical to customer service and work management with involvement in a transformation project to migrate away from the current platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day mainframe operations troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Capture screens and documentation for audits; validate technical direction from vendors
- Interact with auditors and support audit requirements.
- Apply software upgrades and manage mainframe licenses.
- Question and validate vendor recommendations analytically without confrontation.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with ZOS.
- Familiarity with Cool: Gen Endeavor (CA Endevor SCM) and RACF.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Prior mainframe experience required; utility industry experience is optional.
- No specific programming language required if candidate is a senior mainframe systems
- Dell DLM (Disk Library for Mainframe) experience needed

- Hands-on technical role not a people manager.
