Job Description
Position: IT Technician
Location: San Jose CA (support across 10 school sites)
Type: Contract (3 4 weeks minimum)
Role Overview
Rocketship Education is seeking an IT Technician to provide on-site support across multiple school locations in San Jose. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining Macs and Chromebooks along with the flexibility to travel between sites daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for Macs and Chromebooks.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware software and connectivity issues.
- Set up configure and maintain classroom and office technology.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities and ticket resolution.
- Travel daily between assigned school sites (mileage reimbursed).
Requirements
- Strong technical experience with Macs and Chromebooks.
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle (required).
- Ability to travel across San Jose to support 1 school site per day.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
