DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Facilities is responsible for the overall direction and administration of the Facilities Department Environmental Services Audio Visual and Warehouse.
FACILITIES:
- Has overall responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the facility including major mechanical systems HVAC fire & life-safety equipment grounds parking lighting systems plumbing kitchen equipment electrical controls and any other systems and equipment comprising the physical structure and appurtenant infrastructure
- Manages Facilities Department staff including skilled trades (e.g. electricians plumbers carpenters etc.) to maintain the property in a manner that ensures optimal guest experience and long-term asset preservation
- Ensure compliance with safety standard codes including but not limited to obtaining and maintaining all required federal state local and municipal certificates and licenses or any other permit certificate or license needed to operate the premises and its equipment machinery and life safety systems (e.g. elevators boilers HVAC fire safety systems etc.) in an operationally safe and efficient manner
- Manages utility expenses and leads initiatives to maintain the lowest possible costs through improved operational efficiencies and deployment of new technologies
- Maintains the Fire Emergency Organization Manual and ensures that the entire Facilities Team is trained in its implementation
- Develops and manages casino housekeeping and EVS functions to ensure clean and attractive guest facility; coordinates housekeeping and EVS activities with other departments.
- Order supplies and equipment; research new products and cleaning equipment; recommends accordingly.
- Prepares EVS forecast and budget analysis responsible for effective cost control relative to payroll supply and other expense items.
- Responsible for team that will perform setup operation breakdown inventory and maintenance of any and all sound lighting video power distribution rigging network stage scenery props dcor and wardrobe equipment throughout the property.
- Manages a team that works with large scale digital DSP based music and paging systems as well as large format analog digital and IPTV based video distribution and CATV systems as well as create edit and finalize video and audio programs and presentations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years in Facility Management Plant Engineering Management or related experience.
- Bachelors degree preferred
