Summary
The Senior Manager of Business Development is responsible for leading a team that identifies cultivates and secures new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion. This role involves strategic planning team leadership relationship building and a deep understanding of the companys products and markets. They develop and implement strategies manage client relationships and work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies pitches presentations and proposals to drive new business and achieve revenue targets.
Negotiation and Deal Closure: Negotiate contracts pricing agreements and other terms to secure new business and close deals.
Opportunity Management: Manage opportunity pipeline. Track progress towards goals monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports and forecasts for management.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing product development finance and operations to ensure aligned efforts and seamless project execution.
Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry developments competitor activities and market trends to identify new growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Education & Technical: Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive product education and training programs for both external clients and internal teams to enhance product knowledge drive adoption and support sales effectiveness.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree is required preferably in Engineering Operations or Business/Marketing
Minimum 10 years of related and progressive experience ideally in a manufacturing industry. Previous people leadership is preferred.
Strong experience interacting with both internal and external customers is required. 80/20 complexity reduction and simplification experience is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Proficiency in relevant ERP systems (Oracle and/or SAP) and CRM (SalesForce) is preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% as needed domestically and internationally.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
