Job Summary:

CDK experience a plus

Gary Yeomans Ford Palm Bay is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in precise and legal handling of vehicle titles registrations and other legal documents while ensuring all paperwork for new used and wholesale vehicles is accurately processed according to state and federal regulations preventing delays and legal issues.

Vehicle documentation and processing:

  • Process titles and registrations: Complete and submit all necessary paperwork to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for vehicle registration and title transfer.
  • Manager trade-in-titles: Verify that all lienholders have been properly paid off and the correct titles are received for trade-in vehicles.
  • Manage new vehicles: Process Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO) and other documents for brand-new cars.
  • Process wholesale transactions: Prepare title transfers for wholesale vehicles including ensuring all funds are collected before signing over titles.
  • Bill dealer trades: Manager paperwork and accounting entries for vehicles exchanged with other dealerships.
  • Oversee out-of-state transactions: Maintain a system for processing and verifying titles for vehicles coming from or being sold to customers in other states.

Compliance and record keeping:

  • Ensure legal compliance: Stay informed about changes in state and federal title and registration regulations.
  • Verify accuracy: Scrutinize all documentation for completeness and accuracy catching any errors before submission.
  • Maintain inventory records: Keep track of titles and MSOs for all vehicles in the dealerships inventory.
  • Track outstanding work: Compile and report a list of outstanding or problematic title work to management on a regular basis.

Financial and administrative tasks:

  • Prepare payoff checks: Create payoff checks for new vehicles and trades as needed.
  • Manage payments: Process payments and deposits related to title and registration fees.
  • Post vehicle sales: Post vehicle purchases and sales in the dealerships accounting system.
  • Support sales and finance teams: Coordinate with finance and insurance (F&I) and sales departments to gather necessary documents and ensure a smooth process from sale to title transfer.
  • Answer customer questions: Address customer inquiries regarding the status of their title and registration with a high level of customer service.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: forty per week.
