Digital Consultants is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Manager to support a government customer. The Infrastructure Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight of all enterprise IT infrastructure operations spanning data centers networks servers storage and cloud services. This role ensures mission-critical systems remain secure reliable and cost-effective by managing daily operations guiding infrastructure modernization and driving efficiency through proactive monitoring and cloud optimization. The Manager oversees multidisciplinary technical teams ensures compliance with DoD standards and partners with program management cloud architects and cybersecurity leadership to deliver resilient IT services aligned with organizational mission objectives.


Infrastructure Operations Manager duties to include:

  • Lead daily operations of enterprise IT infrastructure ensuring availability stability and security.
  • Manage and mentor technical personnel across multiple IT disciplines.
  • Oversee lifecycle management for infrastructure components including patching upgrades and refresh.
  • Drive cost savings and performance improvements through cloud optimization and proactive system monitoring.
  • Ensure adherence to DoD and agency cybersecurity requirements (IAT Level II baseline).
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation SOPs and configuration baselines.
  • Plan and coordinate disaster recovery and continuity of operations.
  • Monitor and report on infrastructure performance metrics and SLA compliance.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Architects Network Engineers and Service Desk Leads to address escalated issues.
  • Support modernization initiatives and migration of systems to hybrid cloud environments.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for infrastructure operations with government leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements

Clearance Required (if any): Top secret with SCI Eligibility

Education: Minimum

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university in computer science information systems business administration information technology

Education: Preferred

  • Masters degree in computer science information systems business administration or information technology related field

Certifications:

Required

  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II

Preferred

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) (Expert or Managing Professional)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Cloud Platform certified in one of the following: VMWare AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect

Experience

  • 10 years experience in IT field
  • 5 years experience demonstrating technical and process proficiency across a broad range of IT landscape technologies and key IT disciplines.
  • 5 years experience managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure demonstrating cost reductions through cloud optimization improved system uptime via proactive monitoring and cloud migration of applications.
