Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Water Spider to join our this role you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the production area. The Water Spider will work closely with operators and supervisors to keep production lines stocked and organized reducing downtime and maintaining smooth operations. This position requires strong attention to detail the ability to work well in a team and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This is a full time position with excellent affordable medical dental and vision benefits paid holidays paid time off and 401k match.

Compenstation: 21/hr

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to train lead and interact with all team members.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Proficient in ERP system
  • Ability to use RF scanner and manage inventory of parts.
  • Ability to use appropriate measuring tools hand and power tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
  • Previous experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directs the work of employees in assigned department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the workflow processes throughout production allocating raw material physically handling the material to appropriate work centers and attending to problems as they occur.
  • Reads and understands blueprints job routings and a working knowledge of our ERP system.
  • Works on the assembly line when required.
  • Proactively responds to the dispatch schedule and maintains constant communication with the production department throughout the workday.
  • Reviews alerts on Work Center Inventory Requirements and ensures they align with receiving raw material dates if not already allocated.
  • Analyzes changes in demand and communicates them to the appropriate personnel this helps keep customer required ship dates current within the ERP system department.
  • Works with other departments to ensure jobs get to next operation in a timely manner and assists at control centers when needed.
  • Always striving to improve service metrics scoring to ensure that the company meets its goals.
