Job Description

Position Start Date:March2 2026

JV/Freshmen Head Coaching Position

Previous high school coaching experience recommended.

The coach will assist the varsity coach in all aspects of the program and will be responsible for a sub-varsity team.

The applicant must be able to display the following attributes:

  • A commitment to high ethical and professional standards
  • A demonstrated ability to lead young student-athletes toward academic and athletic excellence
  • A strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Skilled in organization time management and a commitment to the vision of the Sherwood Athletic Program
  • A great understanding of the training skill development and coaching techniques involved in high school baseball
  • The ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm for the sport of baseball throughout the community
  • A commitment to the importance of academic excellence and achievement for all student-athletes in the program
