As a Business Manager in the COO Strategy Office you will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Head of COO Strategy Office you will ensure seamless preparation and delivery of the COO agenda from management team meetings to global offsites. You will manage communications presentations and follow/ups with precision enabling predictable transparent and impactful decision-making at the highest level.
You will also be the linking pin for key partners like Corporate Communications Corporate Secretariat and other MBB and COO business managers to drive effective collaboration and delivery of work where needed.
This position provides a broad insight across the global ING organisation and requires someone who combines common sense curiosity and maturity with excellent judgment a large range (no task is too small to be performed with excellence) discretion (you will handle highly confidential and privileged information) and integrity. The ideal candidate is a self-directed executor who helps orchestrate progress silently but effectively behind the scenes. Strong communication skills are a must as well as being comfortable with ambiguity
The team
You will join a small high-impact team at the heart of the COO Strategy Office working closely with the Head of Strategy Office the Global COO and senior leadership across the organisation. This role will give you a unique vantage point across ING exposure to decision-making at the top and opportunities to build strong networks both within and beyond the COO domain.
Roles and responsibilities
Advise and support the Head of COO Strategy Office/Global COO in the execution of the long and short term agenda.
Pro-actively provide the Head of COO Strategy Office and Global COO with insights observations and key talking points for his meetings bilas with his MT members and for his business visits.
Lead the target setting process including mid-year and year-end reviews for Global COO and MT COO.
Prepare COO presentations for events like town halls leadership councils and internal/external stakeholder meetings.
Prepare meetings calls and offsites in terms of content and organisation and ensure proper follow up.
Ensure that key decisions are documented accountabilities are clarified and delivery towards decisions is actioned upon and monitored.
Support the quarterly performance reviews.
Facilitate communication and collaboration in and beyond the COO domain by constantly connecting the dots share information and be in regular contact with key stakeholders.
Partner with corporate staff departments and other business managers to drive INGs key priorities.
Take on ad hoc projects as required.
