Job Summary

SyncVR Medical is the leading XR (Extended Reality) platform in European healthcare implemented in 200 hospitals to improve patient care and staff efficiency. We are an ambitious MedTech company on a mission to improve healthcare through immersive technology.

While we started SyncVR Medical with a focus on XR for patient care we always knew that our platform would expand into the giant domain of healthcare staff education. For this new area of growth The Netherlands is the ideal home base to kick-off a new phase of global are seeking a General Manager & New Business to be the ultimate leader of our Dutch entity. This is not a role for process management; this is a role where you will own the strategy incubation and rapid scaling of our high-potential XR Medical Education vertical while serving as the executive anchor for our entire Dutch team. You will work side-by-side with the CEO and CCO to set and execute company strategy and translate it into local momentum.

Tasks

Your work will be split between New Business Incubation (70%) and Organisational Leadership (30%).

  1. Lead the XR Education Vertical (The Builder):
  • Own the GTM Strategy: Develop and execute the complete go-to-market plan for our new medical education business turning simulations and training apps into a scalable premium platform offering. Leverage our central position in DUTCH a govt-funded project digitizing healthcare education where SyncVR is a key partner.
  • Drive Business Development: Forge high-level strategic partnerships with key Dutch academic medical centers universities and simulation centers to secure lighthouse accounts and define the standard for immersive staff education. Note that you need to be keen to get your own hands dirty before hiring a team around you.
  • Define Product Vision: Serve as the strategic voice for the education product working with the CEO and engineering team to align our XR educational content and platform features with the specific needs of the Dutch medical training ecosystem.
  1. Anchor the Netherlands Organisation (The Leader):
  • Executive Ownership: Alongside our CCO serve as leaders for the Netherlands managing all local operations (excl. day-to-day sales of our traditional patient treatment arm which is managed by the CCO).
  • Strategy & Alignment: Partner directly with the CEO on long-term company strategy translating the vision into clear quarterly priorities for the local teams.
  • Org Design & Culture: Lead future hiring shape the remote-first culture and build the team structure required for a high-performance organisation.

Requirements

You are an ambitious leader looking for operational ownership and a path to the C-suite. You thrive on the ambiguity of a new venture and the challenge of a highly regulated market.

  • Experience & Velocity: You have 5-10 years of total experience including significant time spent in a high-velocity strategic function (e.g. consulting firm business/exec-role at startup/scale-up).
  • The Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are a builder not a maintainer. You are motivated by launching and scaling something new. You are comfortable challenging norms and operating with limited resources.
  • Domain Focus: You have a proven track record or deep passion for healthcare and/or education and understand the complex sales cycle and stakeholder landscape of Dutch hospitals and & Location: You are Native or Business Fluent in Dutch and professional working in English. For establishing important relationships you need to be located in The Netherlands.
