UNITE is our business-led tech-enabled transformation and the program is about delivering one best way to make our processes systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for our customers and make things easier for our people. The formation of the UNITE Data Engineering Team is to shape the data transformation of a once-in-a-generation program. Whats the role
Join our UNITE Program as a Data Engineer and help design and build data pipelines that simplify our technology landscape and deliver measurable business outcomes. This is a permanent role based in Sydney or the Gold Coast (multiple roles available). Youll work hands-on with modern data platforms like Azure Data PaaS Snowflake Teradata Vantage and Informatica while applying analytic thinking to solve complex problems and shape customer outcomes.
What do I need
- Hands-on coding skills in Python SQL and Informatica ETL.
- Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark and Kafka.
- Proven experience deploying solutions in production for large-scale programs.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse Azure Data Lake Services Azure Event Hubs Azure Cosmos DB Snowflake and Teradata platforms.
- Understanding of data modelling governance and architecture principles.
- Ability to translate business logic into scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborative mindset with an agile and innovative approach.
- Experience building or applying agentic AI to automate design development and testing tasks is a plus.
