Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
Assist research advisor to achieve the goals of their research project/program
Transferable Skills:
- Ability toanalyze novel problems in theoretical physics
- Ability to anticipate and positively react to the needs of the professor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet with professoronce weekly to discuss progress on the project
- Write and share relevant notes on the theoretical analysis
- Write and share Mathematica notebooks for the analysis
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Mathematical familiarity with tools in finite volume quantum mechanics including Greens function methods.
- Prior physicscourseworkin Modern Physics and upper-level classical mechanics.
