Job Description

The Student Assistant Health Science Work Study Student will perform assigned duties related to the preparing for the Teaching and Learning Conference assisting with the conference and assist the Teaching and Learning co-chairs as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use the printer to make copies and scans
  • Laminate infographics
  • Collect handouts
  • Put together swag bags
  • Print and assemble name tags
  • Assist in setting up rooms for conferences
  • Collect and tabulate post-conference survey results

CURRENT IVY TECH KOKOMO STUDENT

General Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Currently enrolled as a student at the college with work-study eligibility.
    • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience:
    • No prior experience is required though customer service or office support experience is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and approachable attitude.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Friendly professional and customer service-oriented.
    • Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a part-time work-study position for students currently enrolled in the college.
  • Work hours are flexible typically during office hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday through Friday). We will work around your class schedule.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

Classification: Work Study/Part-Time
