Job Summary
The position of Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas partnering with construction project management and field staff.
- Assistwithmanagingall aspects of project documentation including submittals RFIs and project meeting minutes.
- AssistwithsupervisionanddirectingprojectactivitiesasassignedbythePMincludingplanning and coordinating circumventing/resolving problem areas ensuring all company/project policies procedures and standards are maintained etc.
- AssistwiththemaintenanceofallchangeordersubmittalanddocumentcontrollogswithinViewpoint.
- AssistPMandPXwithinteractionswithsubcontractorstomakecertainthatwe have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- ResponsibleforcreatingtheJobInformationSheetsandestablishingjobfiles under the direction of the PM or PX.
- AssumetemporarytotalprojectsupervisionresponsibilitiesintheabsenceofthePM.
- Abletoreadandbasicunderstandingofelectricaldrawingsandspecifications.
- Assistwithestablishingworkflowbreakdownsinconjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
- Assistwithensuringprojectbillingsareaccurateandsubmittedtimely monthly and per contract documents.
- ResponsibleforassistinginwritingandsubmissionofqualityRFIs.
- ResponsibleforassistingPMtoensuretimelypaymenttosubcontractorsandvendors.
- Abletoreviewandupdatestatusofconstructionschedulesasperrequestof PM or PX.
- AbletoassistProjectManagementteamwiththesetupofprojectbudgetsin Viewpoint in conjunction with Field Supervisor.
- WorkwithPayrolldepartmenttoensureaccuratePayroll information has been submitted.
- Otherdutiesasassigned.
Requirements
- Minimum3yearsexperienceinelectricalconstructionorsimilarindustry
- Electricallicensepreferred
- Estimatingandprojectmanagementskillspreferred
- Basicknowledgeofelectricalinstallationscodesandconstructionmethods
- Familiarwithreadingblueprintsforstructuredcablingbuildingcontrolsfirealarm security access control
- Proficiencyatanintermediatelevelwithcomputerskills - Excel Word and related PC skills
- Driverslicensecleandrivingrecordrequired
- Strongmathandorganizationalskills
- Excellentpeople andcommunicationskills
- Haveahighdegreeofaccuracyandattentiontodetailwiththeabilitytomultitask
- Abilitytoprioritizeandorganizework
Benefits
Salaryrangeforthispositionis$80000-$125000annually.
