Job Title: Technical Specialist Junior (Process Improvement Analyst)
Location: Rocky Mount NC 27804
Interview Type: Phone In-Person
Work Mode: Hybrid 3 days onsite per week

Our client is embarking on a strategic initiative to streamline and modernize core business processes. We are seeking a Process Improvement Analyst (Technical Specialist Junior) to partner with DMV leadership frontline staff and IT teams to analyze current workflows identify inefficiencies and design sustainable user-friendly solutions that enhance both customer and employee experiences.
Note:
Candidate must be onsite on Day 1 to collect equipment.
Role requires 3 days onsite weekly at DMV Rocky Mount with limited travel to other DMV offices in NC as needed.
Local NC candidates only.
Conduct current-state analysis of DMV workflows through interviews workshops and onsite observations.
Document end-to-end processes systems and dependencies; identify pain points bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Develop future-state process maps using Lean and best practice methodologies.
Recommend process changes technology enhancements and organizational adjustments to drive efficiency and improve user satisfaction.
Collaborate with IT teams and Business Analysts to align redesign efforts with system capabilities and future upgrades.
Support DMV leadership with change management initiatives including presentations workshops pilot programs and phased rollouts.
Establish KPIs to track and measure improvements post-implementation.
Provide ongoing recommendations for continuous improvement and long-term sustainability.
5 years in business process improvement process engineering or operational excellence roles.
Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process optimization methodologies.
Proven success in process mapping gap analysis and workflow redesign.
5 years of stakeholder management and facilitation experience across frontline staff and executives.
Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to propose people-centered solutions.
Excellent communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Industrial Engineering Organizational Development or related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in government DMV public sector or high-volume service delivery environments.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
Experience working in challenging environments requiring empathy and resilience.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex situations.
