About the Role
JetBlue is seeking a Senior IT Platform Engineer to design build and support enterprise-grade cloud and infrastructure platforms. This role involves maintaining high availability of critical systems automating cloud pipelines troubleshooting complex issues and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Design build and manage cloud infrastructure and automated deployment pipelines.
- Maintain and support infrastructure platforms to ensure uptime and minimize incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across hardware software and cloud systems.
- Provide guidance mentorship and training on new technologies to team members.
- Test evaluate and implement emerging tools and solutions.
- Manage upgrades enhancements migrations integrations and releases in cloud and disaster recovery environments.
- Support backup/recovery processes and resolve escalated issues.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for production support.
- Ensure compliance with SOX PCI IT General Controls and other regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8 years of experience supporting production environments in cloud or hybrid settings.
- 5 years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience in Azure AWS or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Kubernetes (clusters Helm Docker)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions)
- Monitoring tools (Grafana Prometheus or similar)
- Databases and Directory Services
- Knowledge of IT best practices (Infrastructure CI/CD Change Management Cloud Security).
- Flexible to support emergency incidents and occasional overnight travel (10%).
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Fastly CDN and Network Director Software.
- Experience managing applications in Azure or hosted datacenter environments.
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or equivalent.
