About the role
This role reporting to the Sr. Director of Technical Asset Management involves analyzing and modeling power plant performance driving data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and collaborating with engineers O and amp;M teams and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making across a growing portfolio of renewable projects
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect clean and analyze large datasets on power plant performance and modeling
- Develop predictive models to forecast performance troubleshoot PV systems and recommend corrective actions
- Use PV modeling tools (PVsyst PVlib Python NREL SAM etc.) for performance analysis
- Calculate plant/equipment losses (soiling tracker temperature clipping inverter efficiency wiring)
- Compute KPIs (availability performance ratio energy performance index) using algorithms
- Support automation of reporting and analysis with data science/software teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Translate analysis into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- Masters in Computer/Data Science Engineering Math or Physics with 23 yrs in performance engineering PV modeling (PVsyst) and data analytics
- Strong knowledge of PV system modeling (PVsyst PVLib) and SCADA performance assessment
- Skilled in Python/R SQL Excel (advanced VBA) and BI tools (PowerBI Tableau Plotly Pandas NumPy Matplotlib)
- Experience in project management data mining and AC/DC power system analysis
- Strong analytical problem-solving communication and teamwork skills

- Experience working in the power industry specifically in performance analysis and modeling in the PV solar industry
