We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to lead the Tax Department within their Finance Division in Somerset West.
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international tax legislation optimizing the companys tax position and providing strategic advice to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage local tax compliance including corporate income tax VAT withholding taxes dividends tax and transfer pricing.
Oversee international tax management including tax-efficient strategies tax accounting and compliance.
Lead transfer pricing activities including analysis reporting and advisory on new business initiatives.
Manage local and international tax audits and ensure compliance.
Provide tax accounting and reporting including deferred tax.
Stay updated with tax legislation changes and advise on structuring to minimize liabilities.
Liaise with tax authorities consultants and Auditors.
Prepare tax incentive applications and submissions for government tax allowances.
Manage and develop the tax teams performance.
Requirements:
Honours or Post-graduate Degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation (or equivalent).
CA(SA) with completed articles at a reputable audit firm.
SAICA membership with a minimum of 5 years post-articles tax experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS South African tax legislation transfer pricing and international tax principles.
Proven ability to lead teams work independently and solve complex tax and financial issues.
Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and planning skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Experience in manufacturing cross-border transactions or international tax will be advantageous.
