Job Description
Hire Resolves Client is urgently looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their mining company based in Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act Environmental Management Act and other applicable legislation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments safety inspections and audits across mining operations.
- Develop implement and monitor HSE policies procedures and safety management systems.
- Investigate incidents accidents and near misses and compile detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Facilitate safety inductions toolbox talks and ongoing HSE training for employees and contractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture by driving awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage environmental aspects including waste management pollution prevention and rehabilitation measures.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- BSc Degree in Environmental Science/Earth Science
- SAMTRAC Certificate
- 5 years experience as an HSE Officer.
- Knowledge of OSHA MHSA Primary Environmental Acts and Regulations in South Africa.
- Valid Drivers License
