KBR is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join us in supporting our great nation supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) development team in Colorado Springs CO.

As the Air Forces leader for National-to-Tactical capability development AFRL collaborates with leading experts across the Intelligence Community Department of Defense National Laboratories industry inter-agency academia and partner nations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud-based information systems ensuring availability performance scalability and security
- Harden information systems against NIST DoD and IC security requirements to include the NIST 800-53 and 800-171 controls and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs)
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications and ensure they meet scalability reliability and security requirements
- Manage and automate routine administrative tasks ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with and implement the latest industry technologies trends and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of new and existing systems and applications
- Lead or attend meetings with system stakeholders to discuss statuses of efforts

Qualifications:
Required:
- Security Clearance: Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret/SCI security clearance which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain
- Education: Bachelors Degree in computer information systems or related field
- DoD 8570-compliant IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security)
- Experience with cloud service providers (CSPs) (e.g. AWS Azure)
- Git/GitLab experience
- Experience with programming (scripting) languages (i.e. Bash or Java)
- Apache open-source products (i.e. NiFi Kafka Zookeeper)
- Security
- Experience with Virtual Machines and Type 1 hypervisors e.g. KVM ESXi
- Demonstrated experience with Linux (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
- Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes Puppet and Ansible
- Experience in implementing DISA STIGs and SRGs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Basic Compensation:$94800 - $142100 (For the Colorado Springs Area Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus relocation benefits short-term incentives long-term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
