The Location
Heritage Lodge a 103 bed residential aged care facility located in Murwillumbah in the Tweed Shire 13km south of the Queensland by homely comforts and beautiful gardens we enjoy a close-knit community that feels more like a family.
The Role
Reporting to our General Manager our Care Manager will be responsible for ensuring consistently a high quality of care is provided to our residents to facilitate and support their continued enjoyment of life within their level of capability.
As the Care Manager your responsibilities will expand across clinical governance staff management change management AN-ACC and resident care. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Commitment to ensuring the delivery of high quality and personalised care to all resident
- Knowledge of the aged care sector standards
- Sound understanding of processes needed to respond to clinical and quality audits using the principles of continuous improvement.
- Developing monitoring and implementing nurse care plans assessing planning and evaluating existing care plans
- Performing comprehensive assessments and investigating issues and incidents
- Participating in and ensuring all compliance is adhered to in accordance with aged care standards and Bolton Clarke policies and procedures.
- Actively supervising training and mentoring all RNs and PCWs
About You
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Experience within Aged Care Sector asa Senior Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse Leader (desirable)
- Infection Prevention and Control Qualification (desirable)
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current aged care standards accreditation and auditing processes and AN-ACC
- Personal and professional commitment to delivering high quality care the development of yourself and your staff and the overall continuous improvement of your site
- Solid leadership skills along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current flu and COVID Vaccinations
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport Birth Certificate etc)
