The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists professional foresters horticulturalists natural resource specialists environmental scientists GIS technicians and plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce.
Responsibilities
- Perform vegetation removal activities in Electrical Substations Transmission Rights of Way (ROW) and access roads
- Adhere to all federal state and safety best management practices for vegetation management adjacent to energized facilities
- Safely operate 4x4 vehicle with trailer UTV / Side by Side (Polaris Ranger or equivalent)
- 25% overnight work week travel required
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience working around high voltage electrical utility power systems
- Ability to identify various biological communities within California
- Knowledge of safety requirements regarding vegetation removal practices around substations communication sites utility Rights of Way and near high voltage equipment
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in steep difficult terrain and climb up and down steep sloes
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Safely use hand tools such as loppers axe shovels and rakes as well as gas and battery powered tools such as string trimmer / hedger brush cutter etc.
