VP Executive Rewards
location: Netherlands based fulltime


job context and purpose

As VP Executive Rewards you are responsible for driving developing implementing executing and analysing reward programs for our executive population and other key positions including merit short- and long-term incentive plans in line with our global HR and reward strategies.

We prioritize our activities based on business impact and organize ourselves accordingly. As such participation in and management of more generic reward projects will also form part of the role giving you a challenging and versatile role with a strong footing in rewards.

You report to the SVP Rewards and you are part of the global Reward leadership team.

tasks and key responsibilities

  • Ensure our executive reward framework is in line with (best) practices and our HR and reward strategy by anticipating market and organizational transformation;

  • You are the trusted advisor for your stakeholders providing expert advice guidance and coaching to leaders in all aspects of reward;

  • You provide strategical tactical and operational services needed to meet business objectives and uphold company values;

  • You drive and execute all major annual reward processes such as:

    • Coordination and execution of job grading activities for executives

    • Plan and co-rdinate the execution of our executive benchmarking and merit cycle

    • Manage the target setting cascade for our executives with regard to the STI cycle in close collaboration with the Finance team including communication

    • Manage the target realization process in close collaboration with the Finance team including communication

    • Plan and co-rdinate the award and vesting process of our share plans in close collaboration with the Finance and share administration team

  • You act as back up for the global HR leader Rewards on Remuneration Committee activities

  • You analyse and utilize data insights in order to spot trends propose effective and timely interventions and/or solutions towards key stakeholders;

  • You will continuously monitor and analyse the effectiveness in which our Reward strategy is translated into reward instruments and help design and adjust global reward instruments accordingly to optimize efficiency and effectiveness

  • Project management on global Reward projects will be part of the role from time to time

  • You manage a team in our Global Capability Centre in India performing standardized reward activities (e.g. data submissions salary survey providers).

your experience

The successful candidate

  • has preferably 10 years of experience in HR of which at least 7 within the reward function and relevant educational background;

  • holds a masters degree or similar working level achieved through experience;

  • has previous experience working in a fast paced (international) matrix environment;

  • is experienced in solid business partnering;

  • has strong communications skills both written and verbal (English);

  • has had an influential role during an HRIS implementations;

  • with a background in the consultancy field and worked at a listed (Dutch) company is seen as a plus.
