Job Description

National Perioperative Lead Clinical Governance Unit Permanent Fulltime.
Location: Any State within Australia WFH.
The National Perioperative Lead within the Clinical Governance Unit at Ramsay Health Care plays a critical role in shaping the capability safety and strategic direction of perioperative services across Ramsays national network.
This position is responsible for leading excellence in clinical governance professional standards and operational best practice across all perioperative departments. The role ensures that perioperative teams are staffed with skilled professionals and operate within a framework that is forward-looking responsive to evolving healthcare trends and committed to delivering safe high-quality and patient-centred care.
Essential Skills:
Possesses current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Recent experience as a Floor Coordinator Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) POSM or Theatre Educator within a Ramsay Facility with more than 5 years experience overall.
Experienced in overseeing and managing a range of specialties within the Perioperative department
Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks.
Exhibits advanced clinical expertise and skills with extended practice informed by evidence-based methodologies.
Proven record of professional leadership effective team contribution mentorship and adept problem-solving abilities.
Shows high level communication liaison interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Provides evidence of understanding patient safety and clinical quality factors that impact care.
Demonstrates capability to lead and operate both independently and collaboratively within team based consultative roles upholding clinical excellence and professionalism.
Desirable Skills:
Working towards or post graduate qualification in Perioperative specialisation health services management or quality and risk.
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar
Sound computer skills in MS Office suite including Excel
Competence using risk management systems
