ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design configure and maintain highly available and scalable production systems on AWS.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines automating builds testing and deployment processes to ensure fast and reliable software delivery.
- Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform AWS CloudFormation or similar.
- Maintain the health of live production systems by monitoring alerting and debugging infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to improve service reliability and performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and create action plans for system incidents and outages.
- Ensure security compliance and backup strategies are followed and regularly tested.
- Participate in on-call rotations for production support.
- Understanding of the software deliver lifecycle using Agile practices
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (Non-Negotiable):
- 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2 S3 RDS IAM VPC Lambda etc.).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and management using tools like Jenkins GitLab CI/CD GitHub Actions or similar.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems networking fundamentals and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana CloudWatch).
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills in a production environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED (Negotiable):
- AWS Certification (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and workflows like GitOps.
- Experience with serverless architectures and tools (e.g. AWS Lambda Step Functions).
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
- Experience in automating operational tasks using Python Go or similar scripting languages.
