Trillium Gift of Lift Network a part of Ontario Health is responsible for delivering and coordinating organ and tissue donation and transplantation services across the province as well as for planning promoting and supporting all health care and allied professionals advocates and the Ontario public in fulfilling their shared and integrated responsibilities in saving the lives of Ontarians waiting for a life-saving transplant.
The Lead Data Strategy is responsible for developing a comprehensive data strategy to support Ontarios transplant system as well as supporting the dissemination and implementation of provincial initiatives related to data quality collection and this role the Lead serves as a subject matter expert leads both internal and external stakeholder engagement and provides project management support. Responsibilities include developing project plans and deliverables allocating resources monitoring progress escalating issues as needed and preparing updates for leadership. To achieve these objectives the Lead collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders and partners including clinical and system leaders as well as teams across Ontario Health and the Trillium Gift of Life Network. Key collaborators include Transplant Services Clinical Informatics Data & Solutions Delivery Research Support Services Transplant Funding Transplant Performance Measurement and Evaluation and various Enterprise Services. The Lead will receive strategic guidance and decision-making support from the Manager and Director. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator highly pragmatic deeply knowledgeable about how data enables health system operations and improvements and skilled at building engagement and consensus around strategy development and implementation.
Here is what you will be doing:
Strategy Development and Implementation
In collaboration with Manager leads the development and implementation of a data strategy to support and continuously improve the life-saving operations of Ontarios transplant system and in alignment with organizational standards and industry best practices
Provides subject matter expertise in frameworks methodologies and tactics used to capture clinical and operational priorities identify and analyze data gaps and challenges and assess opportunities and data enablers to support high quality care provider experience and efficient system operations
Acts as the main point of contact and plays a leadership role in content process and methods
Uses collaborative leadership to ensure on-time and on-target delivery of strategy development and implementation of provincial projects and initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement
Designs and leads individual and group engagement to gather information needed for strategy development build consensus and support implementation
Provides subject matter expertise in engagement strategies including surveys interviews focus groups and working groups and skillfully applies them to ensure representation and buy-in among stakeholders with limited availability
Demonstrates leadership and integrity in interactions with internal and external stakeholders
Analysis
Serves as an expert resource on data synthesis and analysis for stakeholder engagement and strategy development
Effectively collects and critically analyzes different sources of information including meeting and interview notes surveys strategy and operating documents and relevant literature
Develops comprehensive data strategy documents and implementation plans and additional communications and supporting materials such as briefing notes and presentations aligned with the objectives and needs of the target audience
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
A masters degree in health administration business administration engineering data & information management or a related field of study or equivalent experience.
7 years of overall working experience with at least two (2) years of experience in leading or supporting strategy development change management strategic data initiatives and stakeholder engagements.
Experience in consulting technology implementation or implementing healthcare projects preferred.
Strong understanding of Ontarios health care system data systems and analytics and the role of data in health system operations and continuous improvements.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of stakeholder engagement methodologies with demonstrated experience in consultations and strategy development.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to establish positive working relationships and build consensus among diverse stakeholders across various disciplines and technical backgrounds.
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative anticipate organizational needs and act independently.
Capable of working effectively and driving progress in dynamic environments even when faced with uncertainty or ambiguity.
Skilled in completing assigned tasks promptly while maintaining high standards of quality.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work.
