Job Description
Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 21 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Gardas primary offices are located in Wayzata New York City West Palm Beach Geneva Zug Copenhagen Singapore and Scottsdale.
Garda is offering one-month internships in its Geneva office within the Trading Assistant team in August 2025. The interns main goal will be to understand how a Hedge Fund works and have a global view of what a Trading Assistant is doing. To achieve this the intern will do a job shadow primarily with the TA team while spending some time across many other teams as well (Risk Repo Quants PMs etc.). In addition the intern will have to complete a month-long project as defined by TA management.
Position Responsibilities
- Capture trades timely and accurately into funds trade management system
- Work with counterparties and clearing brokers to ensure that trades are matched and accurately reflected on trade date
- Liaise with Gardas Middle Office and external Fund Administrator on trade confirmations and carry out amendments promptly
- Work closely with portfolio managers to investigate and resolve P&L issues
- Monitor swap book and reduce line items via riskless swap collapses with dealers
- Calculate and hedge the Funds currency exposures
- Assist the repo desk with bond deliveries and failed trades
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- University degree in Finance Economics or related field
- Experience with Fixed Income products is a plus preferably within a Trading Support function
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
- Detail-oriented nature with strong numerical and verbal skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to learn
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours
