Job Summary:
This position is for an Interventional Radiology Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment specifically within the Interventional Radiology and Pain Management departments. The role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team adherence to strict scheduling and on-call requirements and the ability to float within the assigned departments as needed. A minimum of two years of experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures and pain management treatments.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and documenting observations.
- Collaborating with physicians other nurses and support staff.
- Participating in on-call rotation including weekends and holidays.
- Floating to other areas within Radiology and Pain Management departments as needed.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment including lead apron usage.
- Utilizing Cerner charting system.
- Adhering to mandatory float pool requirements.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting.
- BLS ACLS PALS and NIHSS certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment medication administration and treatment planning.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing.
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory float pool participation within Radiology and Pain Management departments.
- On-call rotation: Weekday nights (12 AM - 8 AM) full weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per month).
- Maximum 5 days of Request Time Off (RTO) with no more than 2 consecutive days and restrictions around holidays and weekends.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- Lead apron usage required.
Scheduling:
- 5 eight-hour shifts per week (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- No block scheduling.
- On-call rotation assigned weekly.
- Occasional weekend day shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) may be required.
