As a Process Automation Engineer you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing processes that support next-generation hardware innovations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design materials metrology and equipment engineering with a focus on creating robust scalable processes from initial proof-of-concept through to high volumes. Your responsibilities will include developing new process capabilities including equipment responsibility planning and executing design of experiments (DOE) conducting failure mode and root cause analyses and contributing to process integration and yield improvement strategies. Flexibility and adaptability are essential as you will be navigating in a dynamic development environment with evolving ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of technical expertise within the area of process development chemistry and/or material science. Furthermore a strong problem-solving capability and a collaborative mindset to help develop early-stage concepts with the vision on scalable high-volume manufacturing solutions
- M.S. Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Physics Materials Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Experience working with customized equipment and automation solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with DOE GR&R studies SPC and data analysis tools.
- Experience in CAD software and generating technical drawings.
- Programming skills especially in Python for data analysis or automation tasks
- Proficiency in developing module processes and implementing data-driven process improvements.
- Background in micro-assembly processes and pick-and-place (PnP) equipment.
- Strong background in failure mode analysis root cause investigation and driving solutions to improve product yield and quality.
- Open-minded and adaptable in fast-paced evolving environments.
- Creative quick-thinking persistent and empathetic with a team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge in optical and mechanical metrology techniques.
- Knowledge of surface coating activation and bonding adhesion technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects from early development stages to high-volume production.
