Job Description

The Investment and Portfolio Performance Analyst under supervision gathers and analyzes investment performance data while working with local performance teams client reporting front and middle offices. The individual will have a strong competence of the asset management industry including performance calculation and factors impacting returns proactively foreseeing and escalating any issues as need. The outcome is to ensure that performance data is provided in a timely complete and accurate manner to both internal and external clients.

On the job you will:

  • Gather analyze and produce accurate performance data interacting with appropriate individuals/groups to resolve errors. Review and verify work of others for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepares standard and ad-hoc performance reports on a daily / weekly / monthly basis that support local performance teams client reporting front and middle offices.
  • Help manage daily workflow and help monitor timely and quality delivery out work outputs or delivery
  • Demonstrate knowledge in performance methodology and systems through answering daily queries from team members local performance and middle office counterparts
  • Maintain systems and databases by ensuring procedures are followed to review the accuracy and integrity of static and time series data for assigned portfolios benchmarks and other information.
  • Obtain strong understanding of performance calculations in various systems and calculate manually as needed
  • Respond to inquiries on both a recurring and ad hoc basis related to performance data
  • Project management and process enhancement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistics Economics Finance Accounting or a related field is required
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the investment management wealth management or insurance industry is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Expert user of Bloomberg Morningstar Lipper for IM and Sylvan
  • Candidate must have above average organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Superior knowledge in MS Excel Power BI Power Automate and other automation tools.
  • Above average understanding of project management and process enhancement.
  • Must be willing to work on a schedule based on the supported region (Asia - morning to mid shift) but is also amenable to working on a night shift (US) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate must demonstrate superior problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Above average knowledge in researching and sourcing data from various websites and internet databases
  • Understands the concepts surrounding asset management operations from the front office to back office
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of investment styles models and risks basic telephony skills
